Curveball: The Year I Lost My Grip by Jordan Sonnenblick, Published by Scholastic, 2012. 304 Pages.
This heart-warming story about the relations between family members, espeacially a boy and his grandfather is exellent. I read this book for the Curtis Read it Forward program and enjoyed it. Peter, a high school freshman and all-star baseball player, gets an injiry and can't play on the high school team. Photography, sports, romance, friendship and family all come together into one novel with Curveball. This book does a have a part that includes accidental drug use at a high school party and the occasional bad words which made me like the book less. I recommend this book for teens ages 13 and up. I believe that people from both genders will enjoy this book.
